Sisters In Cloth present TEXTile
Sisters In Cloth has a exhibit, TEXTile, at the Guilford Library, Guilford, CT during the month of December. Our challenge was to create a piece using text, each piece was to have at least one character somewhere on the piece. My piece, Good Morning Sunshine has the words written on three leaves. The piece is made from batiks from Ghana.

HOMELESS
I don't often venture away from fiber on my blog but this video is near and dear to my heart. I volunteer weekly at a shelter, for mothers and children, which was recently visited by CNN Money. I have been volunteering for three years and the increase for mothers and children needing shelter over the last year is staggering. Please watch the video and if you can help out a shelter in your area, please do.

ANNIE MAME
www.anniemame.com/2010/07/25/fiber-art-taken-to-a-whole-new-level/
Ann Nyberg hosts this fabulous website and shares with her readers interesting stories highlighting people and places in Connecticut. I am proud to share that I am the newest story. Ann came to my studio, took many photos, asked me some questions and even took a video of me asking about my interest in this art form. It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon. One mention from our mutual friend Lisa and I was Ann's new story. Thank you, Lisa and thank you, Ann.
